Day 1. Maumere/Ende – Moni Village (Approx. 100 km from Maumere / 50 km from Ende)

Your Flores adventure begins with a warm welcome at your accommodation or the airport in either Ende or Maumere. From there, we set off on a scenic drive toward the highland village of Moni, your gateway to the legendary Kelimutu volcano.

The journey itself is a visual treat, with several stops along the way to capture the beauty of Flores’ landscapes—lush hills, traditional houses, and the everyday life of local communities. Upon arrival in Moni, you’ll check in to your chosen accommodation and settle in for the evening, surrounded by the cool mountain air and the anticipation of tomorrow’s sunrise adventure.

Overnight in Moni Village.

Day 2. Moni – Ende – Bajawa (Approx. 170 km · 6.5 hours driving)

Wake before dawn for the highlight of your Flores journey—a visit to the mystical Kelimutu Volcano. A one-hour drive from Moni brings you to the parking area, followed by a gentle 45-minute walk to the summit. Here, you’ll witness the world-famous three-colored crater lakes—a natural phenomenon of shifting turquoise, emerald, and deep burgundy waters that have captivated travelers for generations. As the sunrise paints the lakes in ever-changing hues, you’ll understand why this place is considered one of Indonesia’s most extraordinary sights.

After soaking in the magic, we return to Moni for a well-deserved breakfast. Then, we continue our journey westward toward Bajawa, with enriching stops along the way:

As the afternoon unfolds, we arrive in Bajawa and check in to your accommodation. Later, we’ll visit the So’a Hot Spring, where you can soak in warm, mineral-rich waters and let the day’s adventures melt away.

Overnight in Bajawa.

Day 3. Bajawa – Ruteng (Approx. 135 km · 5 hours driving)

After breakfast, we begin our day with a visit to the iconic Bena Traditional Village—one of Flores’ most well-preserved megalithic sites. Here, you’ll walk among ancient stone structures, admire the distinctive cone-roofed houses, and learn about the spiritual beliefs and social structures of the Ngada people.

Continuing our journey toward Ruteng, we make a fascinating stop at Aimere Village on the south coast. Here, you’ll witness the traditional process of making local alcohol from palm juice—a craft passed down through generations. You’ll see the tapping, fermentation, and distillation process, and even have the chance to taste the final product.

Next, we visit the serene Rana Mese Lake, a natural crater lake surrounded by lush hills—a perfect spot for reflection and photography.

Arriving in Ruteng, we explore Ruteng Pu’u Village to see the prototype of the traditional Manggarai house, a unique architectural treasure that represents the cultural identity of the region. Then, check in to your accommodation for the night.

Overnight in Ruteng.

Day 4. Ruteng – Labuan Bajo (Approx. 135 km · 5 hours driving)

Enjoy a final breakfast in Ruteng before we depart for the coastal town of Labuan Bajo, the gateway to Komodo National Park. But our journey isn’t over yet—we’ll make a memorable stop at Cancar Village to witness the Lodok spider-web rice fields. These ancient, intricately designed terraces fan out across the hillsides in mesmerizing geometric patterns, a testament to the ingenuity of the Manggarai people.

After capturing photos and soaking in the view, we continue our drive toward Labuan Bajo, with several scenic stops along the way for photo opportunities. As the landscape shifts from highlands to coastal savannahs, you’ll feel the anticipation of reaching the western tip of Flores.

Upon arrival in Labuan Bajo, we’ll drop you off at your chosen accommodation, marking the end of your 4-day Flores Land Tour.
