Detailed Itinerary: WEST FLORES TOUR – Komodo, Wae Rebo & Homo Flores Cave (6-DAYS)
Day 1. Labuan Bajo – Lembor Village – Wae Rebo (Lunch/Dinner)
Your West Flores adventure begins with a pick-up at your hotel or the airport in Labuan Bajo. From there, we set off on a scenic drive toward the highlands, with fascinating stops along the way.
Our first stop is Lembor Village, where you’ll witness the largest wet paddy fields in west Flores—a stunning expanse of terraced rice paddies that stretch across the valley, a testament to the agricultural ingenuity of the local people.
Continuing our journey, we pass through Nangalili before arriving at Denge Village, the trailhead for one of Flores’ most extraordinary destinations—the legendary Wae Rebo Traditional Village. From here, we embark on a 3-hour trek through dense, verdant jungle, following a winding trail that climbs steadily into the misty highlands.
And then, emerging from the clouds like a vision from another era, Wae Rebo reveals itself—a cluster of iconic cone-shaped houses, known as Mbaru Niang, set against a sweeping valley backdrop. This is not just a village; it is a living cultural treasure, one of the last remaining places on Earth where ancestral architecture and way of life are preserved in their purest form.
Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed by the community. As the sun sets over the valley and the stars begin to emerge in dazzling clarity, you’ll share a simple dinner with your hosts, listening to stories and songs that have been passed down through generations.

Day 2. Wae Rebo – Denge – Ruteng (Breakfast/Lunch)
Wake up to the soft golden light filtering through the misty valleys of Wae Rebo—a morning in this enchanting village that will stay with you forever. After a simple breakfast shared with your host family, take time to wander through the village, interact with the local community, and learn about their way of life and unique culture. Whether observing daily rituals, hearing stories of ancestors, or simply sharing smiles, these moments of connection are what make Wae Rebo so unforgettable.
When the time comes to say goodbye, you’ll begin your descent along the same jungle trail, retracing your steps back to Denge Village. The walk down takes approximately 3 hours, but the journey feels lighter—the forest that once felt mysterious now feels familiar, each step carrying the satisfaction of having experienced something truly rare.
Upon reaching Denge, we continue our drive toward Ruteng, passing through Iteng Village and enjoying the scenic highland landscapes. In Ruteng, we’ll visit a local market, where you can experience the vibrant daily life of the Manggarai people and perhaps pick up some local crafts or fresh produce.
Arriving in Ruteng, we check in to Santa Maria Convent or similar accommodation for the night.

Day 3. Ruteng – Liang Bua Cave – Labuan Bajo (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast, we begin our day with a visit Liang Bua Cave, the famous archaeological site where the remains of Homo floresiensis—the “hobbit” of human evolution—were discovered in 2003. Walk through the cavernous limestone chamber and visit the mini-museum to learn about this groundbreaking discovery that rewrote human history.
After returning to Ruteng for lunch, we drive back to Labuan Bajo. enroute we will stop at Cancar Spiderweb Rice Field. then continue enjoying the scenic landscapes along the way to Labuan Bajo. Upon arrival, you’ll check in to your hotel, and dinner will be served at a local restaurant.

Day 4. Labuan Bajo – Kelor Island – Menjerite – Kalong Island (Lunch/Dinner)
Your Komodo adventure begins with a transfer to the harbor, where a traditional wooden boat awaits to carry you across the sparkling waters of Komodo National Park.
Our first destination is Kelor Island, where a short trek to the hilltop rewards you with a breathtaking panorama of turquoise waters, rugged coastlines, and scattered islets stretching to the horizon.
Back on board, we continue to Menjerite, a world-class snorkeling spot where crystal-clear waters reveal a vibrant underwater world. Slip beneath the surface and discover a kaleidoscope of coral gardens teeming with colorful reef fish, graceful sea turtles, and perhaps even a passing manta ray.
As the afternoon begins to mellow, we set course for Kalong Island, famous for its spectacular evening ritual. As the sun begins to dip toward the horizon, thousands of fruit bats emerge from the mangrove trees, soaring across the fiery sky in a mesmerizing dance of silhouettes against the sunset.
Throughout the day, a delicious lunch and dinner will be served on board. Tonight, your accommodation is on the boat—a unique and authentic experience, lulled to sleep by the gentle rocking of the waves.

Day 5. Padar Island – Pink Beach – Komodo Island (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Wake up to the soft golden light filtering through the cabin windows and enjoy a hearty breakfast on board as the boat glides across the calm morning waters.
Our first destination today is Padar Island for a morning trek to the summit—a perfect opportunity to capture the sunrise and the spectacular panorama that has made this island famous. The view from the top is nothing short of breathtaking, with the surrounding islands and turquoise waters stretching endlessly before you.
Next, we sail to Pink Beach, one of Komodo’s most treasured gems. Its blush-colored sands, created by microscopic red coral fragments, create a striking contrast with the azure sea. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to snorkel in vibrant underwater gardens, where colorful coral formations and schools of tropical fish create a living masterpiece beneath the surface.
Continue the way to Komodo Island, the namesake of the national park and the original habitat of the legendary Komodo dragon. Accompanied by an experienced ranger, you’ll trek through the island’s diverse landscape, searching for these ancient reptiles in their natural environment. Along the way, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of their behavior, ecology, and the conservation efforts that protect them.
Then the next destination is Taka Makasar where you can relax on the Sandbar or snorkeling around. Continue the journey to Manta Point, a world-renowned snorkeling site where the majestic manta rays often glide through the crystal-clear waters. While sightings are never guaranteed—depending largely on weather and season—the thrill of possibility is palpable as you slip beneath the surface.
Throughout the day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served on board. Tonight, you’ll once again sleep under the stars, cradled by the gentle rhythm of the sea.

Day 6. Siaba Island – Sebayur Island – Labuan Bajo (Breakfast/Lunch)

Webegin the day with snorkeling in Siaba Island, a tranquil spot where the waters are often visited by graceful sea turtles. Snorkeling here feels like swimming in an aquarium—turtles gliding effortlessly, schools of colorful fish darting through coral, and the serene beauty of an untouched underwater world surrounding you.
Our final stop is Sebayur Island, a small paradise offering excellent off-shore snorkeling just steps from the shore. Lounge on the white-sand beach, swim in the turquoise sea, or simply soak in the serenity of this untouched gem.
As the afternoon begins to mellow, we set course back to Labuan Bajo, the vibrant coastal town that marks the end of your West Flores adventure. Upon arrival at the harbor, you’ll be transferred to your chosen hotel or directly to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
