This tour will start from Labuan Bajo and end up in Ende/Maumere or vise versa. It depends on your plan and request. Detail itinerary will be like beneath:
FLORES TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1. Labuan Bajo – Denge - Wae Rebo (+/- 100 KM) around 5-hrs driving to Denge
Pick you up at your accommodation in Labuan Bajo. Drive to Denge Village. On the way will stop at few nice spots. Start trekking from Denge village to Wae Rebo through the dense forest for about 9KM. it is around 3-hrs trekking up to reach out the village.
Wae Rebo Village is located in the mountain area with an altitude is 1,200M above sea level. You should be rather strong to trek up the village. Upon your arrival at Wae Rebo village, you will see some impressive traditional houses belong to Manggarai tribe in west Flores.
You will feel the warm and nice welcomed by friendly local communities of Wae Rebo who live with a full of cultural nuance. The village is surrounded by a pure natural atmosphere. Overnight at one of the traditional house.
Day 2. Wae Rebo – Denge - Ruteng (+/- 70 KM) Around 3,5-hrs driving from Denge to Ruteng
Breakfast at Wae Rebo village. See and enjoy the Wae Rebo traditional village, by interacting with the local community to learn about their way of life and their unique culture before leaving the village. Trek down back to Denge village. From Denge village will drive to Ruteng. En route will stop at a Cancar to see the incredible Rice Fields that seems like huge spider’s web. This is one of the most unique icon in west Flores island. It is caled Lodok or ‘Spider web rice-field’. Heading to Ruteng and check in at your chosen accommodation.
Day 3. Ruteng – Bajawa (+/- 135KM) around 5-hrs driving
Pick up at your accomoodation in Ruteng. Drive to Bajawa. Visit Liang Bua Cave “to see the home of Flores ancient man called Homo Floresiensis. A quick stop at Ranamese Lake to take a picture of the natural crater lake. Heading to Aimere village where you can see how the local people produce alcoholic drink locally (it is called Moke/Arak Flores) which is produced out of palm juice tapping of the flower of palm tree. Heading to Bajawa for check-in at your chosen accommodation.
Day 4. Bajawa – Riung (+/- 70KM) around 3-hrs driving
Pick up at your accommodation. Driving to an impressive and unique traditional village called Bena. Walk around the village to take pictures and interact with friendly local inhabitants. Continue trip to Riung. On the way will stop at So’a Natural Hot Springs to take a bath and relax. Heading to Riung. Check-in at your chosen accommodation in Riung.
Day 5. A Day Excursion in Riung (Explore 17 Island Sea Park by Boat)
After being breakfast at your accommodation., drop you off at the pier to catch a local wooden boat. Boating to several islands such as Kalong island to witness thousands of fruit bats flying out of mangrove trees. Boat to Bako/Tembang snorkeling spot for off-shore snorkeling. Get in to Tiga island and Rutong for snorkeling. Boating back to the pier. Drop off to your to your accommodation in Riung.
Day 6. Riung – Moni (+/- 185KM) around 7-hrs driving
After having breakfast. Then, having a long day driving to Moni village. Stop at Blue Stone Beach. It is called Pantai Panggajawa. It is located on the south coast of Flores island. You can have a relax or swim for while here (if you want). Continue driving to Moni village via Ende town. En route will stop at traditional village of Wologai which belongs to Lio tribe. Heading to Moni village. Check-in at your accommodation in Moni.
Day 7. Moni – Maumere (+/- 100KM) around 3-hrs driving or Moni – Ende ( +/-50KM)
Very eraly morning wake up to visit Kelimutu three volcanic crater lake. Starting at 4-AM from your accommodation. It takes about 45-minutes driving to parking area (near the Kelimutu summit). Then taka a walk to see the most natural miracle of Flores’ island which is known as Kelimutu Tri-color Crater Lake. They are formed of the volcanic erruption called Mt. Kelimutu. From the summit of mountain, you can enjoy the wonderful landscape and see the three amazing different color lakes crater lake. After spending your time here, will walk down back to the Car Parking lot. Driving back to your accommodation at Moni for breakfast. Continue your trip to Maumere town “the east part of Flores Island” or drive to Ende town. Drop at your accommodation or drop off to the airport for your next destination.
