Welcome to PT. Top Komodo Tours
Thank you for considering us for your upcoming adventure. We know that planning a trip involves a lot of trust, and we are truly honored that you are thinking of exploring the beautiful islands (Komodo and Flores island) of Indonesia with us.
Before we set sail (or hit the road!), we want to make sure we are on the same page. Please take a few moments to read through our Terms of Service below. They are here to protect both of us and ensure your journey is as smooth and magical as possible.
When you confirm your booking with us, we take that as a sign that you agree to these terms, and we promise to do everything in our power to make your experience unforgettable.
1. Making a Reservation
Booking your dream trip should be easy and stress-free! Here is how it works:
2. Pricing & Rates
We believe in transparency, so here is the breakdown of how our pricing works:
3. Payment Process
To make everything secure, we have a straightforward payment policy:
Short Notice Bookings: If you book within 15 days of departure, we kindly ask for the full payment at the time of booking to finalize everything on our side
4. Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change unexpectedly. However, to manage our commitments to local partners, we have to stick to the following rules:
5. Force Majeure (The "Out of Our Control" Situations)
Mother Nature is beautiful, but sometimes she can be unpredictable. In cases of natural disasters, bad weather, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, epidemics, political instability, or other major events, we may need to alter, postpone, or cancel a tour for your safety.
If this happens, we promise to notify you as early as humanly possible. If we have already received payment, we will work with you to:
6. Our Responsibility (What We Cover)
As your local tour operator, we are responsible for arranging everything in your package—transport, accommodation, guides, meals, and visits to attractions.
However, we are not liable for issues caused by force majeure, flight delays/cancellations, lost or damaged belongings, injuries, or accidents that occur during independent activities outside our arranged itinerary.
7. Travel Insurance (A Friendly Reminder!)
This is important: Your safety and peace of mind are paramount to us. We do not include travel insurance in our packages, but we strongly advise you to purchase comprehensive travel insurance in your home country before departure.
It’s your safety net for unexpected events like lost luggage, medical emergencies, or sudden illness. It’s better to have it and not need it than the other way around!
8. Special Requests
Do you have a special occasion, dietary restriction, or unique request? Please let us know as soon as you book! We will do our absolute best to accommodate your needs. Just keep in mind that some special requests may come with an additional cost.
9. Tour Program & Itinerary
10. Privacy Policy
We take your privacy seriously. The personal data you share with us is used only for booking purposes and to comply with local government regulations (like providing passenger data to the Harbor Master before we board a boat). We will never share your information publicly or with third parties for marketing purposes.
11. Code of Conduct
We ask that you respect the local laws, customs, and regulations during your travels with us. We want you to have the best time, but we cannot take responsibility for issues arising from breaking the rules or behaving inappropriately during the trip.
12. Additional Info: Entrance Tickets & Fees
If your package does not include entrance or donation fees, here is a rough guide to what you can expect to pay on the spot (prices are subject to change):
12.1. Komodo National Park:
12.2. Komodo Park Ranger: IDR 250,000/group (for 1–5 people)
12.3. Drone Permit: IDR 2,000,000/unit/location. Requires a special permission letter from the park authority at least 5 days in advance. Drone tickets are also paid via SIORA after receiving the permit.
12.4. Flores Island Spots: IDR 25,000–100,000/visitor/day
12.5. Kelimutu National Park: IDR 225,000/pax/day
12.6. Donations: Sometimes a small donation is requested (IDR 25,000–50,000 per object), and occasionally a local guide fee is required to show you around
13. Dress Code
The people of Flores are incredibly warm and deeply connected to their culture. To show respect, we kindly ask you to dress modestly when visiting local sites. Please avoid wearing mini skirts or transparent clothing during your visits. A little respect goes a long way in building beautiful connections!
14. Tourism Facilities
Flores is a raw, stunning paradise, but it is still developing its infrastructure. While Labuan Bajo has a good range of modern facilities, please keep in mind that hotels, restaurants, and cars in other parts of the island may be more basic. The untouched beauty makes up for it, we promise!
15. Flores Overland Travel
Traveling across Flores by car is an adventure in itself! Please note that distances are long (about 5–6 hours between towns). While most roads are paved, some routes to specific attractions may still have rough patches. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic views!
16. Buying & Selling Transactions
Cash is still king here! Most transactions across the island are cash-based, so we recommend you bring enough cash to cover your personal expenses.
17. Banks & Money Changer
While ATMs are available in most towns, the exchange rates at local banks and money changers may differ from international rates due to limited options. Helpful Tip: If you are passing through Bali before your trip, we highly recommend exchanging your money there, as you’ll often get a much better rate!
18. Domestic Flights
Indonesian domestic airlines can sometimes have schedule changes. We highly recommend that you re-confirm your flight schedule with the airline at least 2 days before departure to avoid any surprises.
