Flores Island Indonesia

Flores is an island in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province of Indonesia, located east of Sumbawa and west of Lembata Island. Stretching approximately 360 km from west to east, the island's name means 'flowers' in Portuguese, given by Portuguese explorers in the 16th century who were struck by the vibrant coral reefs surrounding the island.
Geography and Climate
Flores is dominated by a chain of volcanoes running its entire length. The island has a tropical climate with a distinct dry season (April to November) and wet season (December to March). Its diverse terrain includes mountains, valleys, coastal plains, and pristine beaches.

How to Get to Flores
The main entry point to Flores is Labuan Bajo (western end) via Komodo Airport (LBJ), with daily flights from Bali, Jakarta, and other Indonesian cities. The eastern end is served by Ende Airport and Maumere Airport. Our Flores tour packages cover both directions across the island.
